ABOUT THE SCHOOLS
Silpakorn University
Established in 1943, Silpakorn University is considered one of Thailand’s top public universities offering degree programs at both graduate and undergraduate level in all major fields of art and design, science and technology, health science, social sciences, management and music, with over 20,000 students at four different campuses.
In 2003 Silpakorn University International College was created at the Talingchan, Bangkok campus in order to provide high quality programs in English. The first program to be delivered at the International College was a BBA in Hotel Management with Vatel International Business School, France. In 2004 the collaboration between these two prestigious institutions was extended to include an MBA in Hotel and Tourism Management.

Created more than 30 years ago, Vatel, International Business School Hotel & Tourism Management, trains future operational and senior managers of the hospitality and tourism industry. INNOVATIVE PROGRAM
This proven effective program alternates classroom lectures with practical training and internships, giving students the opportunity to put into action what they have studied in class.
Practical training and internships can be conducted either in hotel settings with leading industry partners, or on campus at the University’s very own application restaurant. The faculty consists of leading academics and industry professionals.
INTERNSHIPS
Conducting an internship is an integral part of the hotel management program. Students only partake in internships at leading international hotel chains both in Thailand and France. Students gain a great deal of experience in operational settings from different departments including F&B, Housekeeping and Front Office duties.

COURSES

CAREER OPPORTUNITIES
SUIC and Vatel make it possible for graduates to be placed on fast track managerial programs by choosing from a broad range of careers within the hotel and restaurant industry, including Food & Beverage service, Kitchen, Front Office, Marketing, Finance and Human Resources.

New academic year starts every July. Please check with SUIC for application periods.
LOCATION
• Lecture based courses are conducted at Silpakorn University International College, Talingchan, Bangkok
• Practical based Courses are conducted at Vatel Thailand, CAT Telecom Building, Bangrak, Bangkok
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
• Completed Thai high school or equivalent.
• English proficiency: TOEFL 500 PBT, 173 CBT or 61 IBT or IELTS 5.5. Applicants without appropriate qualifications must take the SUIC English Language test.
• Motivational interview.
HOW TO APPLY
1. High school transcripts. (A certificate must be recognized by Ministry of Education, Royal Thai Government.) If transcripts need approving by the Ministry of Education, this process can take 2-3 months. Please see below.
2. Copy of official identification documents (Passport, I.D. card, etc).
3. Copy of official English language test score: TOEFL, IELTS, and the score must not be older than two years from the application date. Applicants without appropriate qualifications must sit the SUIC English Language test.
4. Copy of house registration (if applicable).
