BENEFITS OF THE PROGRAM
 
BFA in Digital Communication Design is an International- Double Degree curriculum from two of the most experienced and prestigious universities in the field of Art and Design in both respective countries. The program emphasizes developing the latest practical skills and theoretical knowledge in design technology in order to produce qualified graduates who can professionally apply both the latest skills in the field of multi-media for the local and overseas market. SUIC also focus on the cross cultural awareness and professional development for a thought provoking; creative; successful cares and performances.
 
CAREER OPPORUNITIES
The course is considered an ideal starting point for any of the interesting and rewarding careers related to the visual design and media industry. These may include design; photography; illustration; multimedia; animation; video and sound production; television; publishing; the press and advertising.
 
 
PROGRAM ORGANIZATION
This program, which is concerned with the essential elements of visual design and mass communication, focusing on studio and workshop tuition led by a team of highly experienced design staff. The various modules of study are supported by an integrated program of media theory and application, which introduces students to contemporary media practice and current professional design thinking in relation to mass communications.

Lecture based courses are conducted at Silpakorn University International College, Talingchan, Bangkok. New academic year starts every August.
 
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
  • Thai Educational System: High School graduation
  • International Educational System:
  • GED
  • NZQA, GCSE, IGCSE, GCE “O” or “A” level, IB (must be approved by the Ministry of Education, Royal Thai Government)
  • English proficiency with a minimum TOEFL score (PBT=500, CBT=173, IBT=61) or IELTS score (5.5) within 2 years before the application date or pass the SUIC English Proficiency Test
  • Three pieces of Portfolio in drawing, painting, filming, photographing, and other designing.
  • Motivational interview
           
Application DOCUMENTS
  • A completely filled-in and signed application form with a 1-inched photo attached. The application form can be downloaded at www.suic.org.
  • A copy of high school level education transcript and diploma. Applicant who has completed a high school level (or equivalent) from an academic institute abroad must submit “High School Equivalency Certificate” issued by the Ministry of Education, Royal Thai Government.
  • A copy of government identification document for both the applicant and the parent: Passport (for foreign nationalities) or Identification Card (for Thai nationality)
  • A copy of House’s Registration for both the applicant and the parent (for Thai nationality)
  • A copy of official English language test score (if any)
  • Four (4) sets of facing-forward and no sunglasses photo in 1-inch size
  • Application fee of THB 500. The applicant who applies by postal mail shall attach all required documents and a copy of bank deposit slip or a copy of money order mentioning the applicant’s name with the application form. The application fee can be paid through one of the followings:

High School Equivalency CERTIFICATE
An applicant who completed a high school level (or equivalent) from an international educational system or from an academic institute abroad must submit “High School Equivalency Certificate” issued by the Ministry of Education, Royal Thai Government.
If you would like SUIC to process the “High School Equivalency Certificate” request on your behalf, please kindly prepare and submit all the following documents to SUIC.
Remark: All documents must be in English language and must be certified true-copy on every page.
  • Equivalent Qualification Application Form (provided by SUIC)
  • A copy of passport, visa, and immigration-stamp pages (student’s name)
  • Power of Attorney (provided by SUIC)
  • Two copies of high-school certificate and transcript (enclosed with the original documents. The original documents will be returned to you after the process is completed)
  • Two copies of “English version” of the high-school certificate and transcript (enclosed with the original documents. The original documents will be returned to you after the process is completed)
  • A copy of Certificate of Personal Name/Surname Change (if any)
  • An equivalent process fee of THB 500 and a service charge of THB 1,000
  • Two of 2-inched photo (size: width 1.5 x height 2 inches) from head to chest, no sunglasses and no hat, facing-forward, taken within six months
 
Interview AND English TestS
 
Once the required documents have been evaluated and determined, students with the proper criteria will be invited to attend an interview and for those who do not obtain the required English language scores must take SUIC English Proficiency Test. (Please check for specific date from the announcement at www.suic.org). If students are unable to attend the interview, then they need to inform SUIC in writing and request a long distance entrance interview. The interview may be conducted orally on webcam via SKYPE Video calling.  The list of qualified students will be announced on SUIC’s website within 1 to 2 weeks after interviews.
