About BBA in ELM PROGRAM
 
SUIC realized the need for graduates in marketing to respond to both national and international market development. The Program of Business Administration in Event and Leisure Marketing is produced to emphasize on knowledge development, analytical thinking and developing creative skills in implementation of marketing communication and presentation in order to produce graduates who are able to work and compete nationally and internationally. In addition, SUIC has created a network with public and private sectors to analyze trends and needs of various businesses in order to develop the industry-driven course content. Students will gain knowledge and experiences from full-time instructors, guest lecturers and practicum work. Field trips and short-course training aboard are offered to students who are willing to participate and meet the extra expense.

PROGRAM ORGANIZATION 
Students learn general education courses and introductory courses of marketing as well as event and leisure aspects in the 1st year. During the 2nd year, solid backgrounds in business administration, marketing and management in event and leisure are transferred to each student in order to prepare them for an internship. Once students complete the internship in the first semester of Year 3, students will take the advanced courses which are the integration of academic and professional aspects of marketing. In the final year students can take professional elective courses either at SUIC or ESC Rennes School of Business. These elective courses will strengthen each student both in academic and practical work of event and leisure marketing.

 
TWO OPTIONS FOR STUDENTS
For students who choose to study the 4th year at SUIC, they will graduate with a single-degree from SU. However, students who pass the entry requirements to study the final year at ESC Rennes School of Business will graduate with the degrees from both SU and ESC Rennes School of Business if the graduation requirements of both institutions are met.
 
Students who plan to study the final year at ESC Rennes School of Business are advised to take French Language courses during their 2nd year (language modules) and 3rd year (free elective modules).
 
Professional Elective courses are designed to support students to work in wide career opportunities in various businesses and industries, such as Creative Media and Visual Attraction, Professional Presentation and Communication Skills, Sales Force Management, Logistics and Value Chain Management, Sustainable Brand Management, Advertising Planning, Pricing Management, Retail Marketing Management, Business Marketing Management, Fashion and Entertainment Industry Marketing, Political Marketing, and Marketing of Financial Services.

INTERNSHIPS
From the third academic year onward, every student is required to have an internship in a real business organization with no limitation on type or sector of businesses under the supervision and inspection of lecturers for at least 450 hours consecutively.
 
Standard Learning Outcomes of Field Experience are such as:
  1. Students will be able to apply the theoretical knowledge to the profession and be able to analyze or do research for efficient work,
  2. Students will learn to work with responsibility, professional ethics, integrity, leadership and creativity,
  3. Students will be able to solve immediate problems and also create innovation to reduce work problems and increase work potential,
  4. Students will be able to communicate with clients and be able to use appropriate technology for work.
 
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS TO STUDY THE FINAL YEAR AT ESC RENNES SCHOOL OF BUSINESS
As of 2014 the entry requirements to study the final year at ESC Rennes School of Business to receive the double degrees are
  1. Obtain score of IELTS ≥ 6.5 or TOEFL IBT ≥ 80 or TOEIC ≥ 750,
  2. Register and pass every course in year 1 – 3 of the Bachelor of Business Administration Program in Event and Leisure Marketing,
  3. Able to pay all expenses during the study at ESC Rennes School of Business e.g., tuition, fees, transportation, accommodation, food, and other expenses.
 
ESTIMATED EXPENSES WHILE STUDYING AT ESC RENNES (AS OF 2014)
1. Annual expenses
  • Tuition and fees 6,300 Euro/year (as of 2014)
  • Student health insurance and Complementary health insurance 307 Euro/year
  • Civil responsibility 40 Euro/year
  • Residence permit (for students with long-stay visa) 55 Euro/year

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
  • Thai Educational System: High School graduation
  • International Educational System:
  • GED
  • NZQA, GCSE, IGCSE, GCE “O” or “A” level, IB (must be approved by the Ministry of Education, Royal Thai Government)
  • English proficiency with a minimum TOEFL score (PBT=500, CBT=173, IBT=61) or IELTS score (5.5) within 2 years before the application date or pass the SUIC English Proficiency Test
  • Motivational interview
           
Application DOCUMENTS
  • A completely filled-in and signed application form with a 1-inched photo attached. The application form can be downloaded at www.suic.org.
  • A copy of high school level education transcript and diploma. Applicant who has completed a high school level (or equivalent) from an academic institute abroad must submit “High School Equivalency Certificate” issued by the Ministry of Education, Royal Thai Government.
  • A copy of government identification document for both the applicant and the parent: Passport (for foreign nationalities) or Identification Card (for Thai nationality)
  • A copy of House’s Registration for both the applicant and the parent (for Thai nationality)
  • A copy of official English language test score (if any)
  • Four (4) sets of facing-forward and no sunglasses photo in 1-inch size
  • Application fee of THB 500. The applicant who applies by postal mail shall attach all required documents and a copy of bank deposit slip or a copy of money order mentioning the applicant’s name with the application form. The application fee can be paid through one of the followings:

High School Equivalency CERTIFICATE
An applicant who completed a high school level (or equivalent) from an international educational system or from an academic institute abroad must submit “High School Equivalency Certificate” issued by the Ministry of Education, Royal Thai Government.
If you would like SUIC to process the “High School Equivalency Certificate” request on your behalf, please kindly prepare and submit all the following documents to SUIC.
Remark: All documents must be in English language and must be certified true-copy on every page.

 
- Equivalent Qualification Application Form (provided by SUIC)
A copy of passport, visa, and immigration-stamp pages (student’s name)
Power of Attorney (provided by SUIC)
Two copies of high-school certificate and transcript (enclosed with the original documents. The original documents will be returned to you after the process is completed)

Interview AND English TestS  
Once the required documents have been evaluated and determined, students with the proper criteria will be invited to attend an interview and for those who do not obtain the required English language scores must take SUIC English Proficiency Test. (Please check for specific date from the announcement at www.suic.org). If students are unable to attend the interview, then they need to inform SUIC in writing and request a long distance entrance interview. The interview may be conducted orally on webcam via SKYPE Video calling.  The list of qualified students will be announced on SUIC’s website within 1 to 2 weeks after interviews.
