VDO introduction of PhD in International Business

ABOUT THE PROGRAMME
Nowadays, globalisation surrounds us in the social, cultural, political, information technology, and economical dimensions. Any change in the world will avoidably affect and be linked to Thailand in all dimensions, especially the economical one which has an impact on people's living. Thailand's main income comes from the export and service sectors, for instance, oil export, agricultural and industrial product export, and hotel and tourism industries.

Furthermore, as Thailand is a member of ASEAN Economic Community (AEC), it is a reason for an urgent need to enhance people's understanding in international business. Therefore, educational institutions are the key factor developing people's awareness in the important role of international business in different dimensions such as strategies for adapting Thailand's market to the size of AEC's which covers the approximate population of 600 millions. Not only marketing strategies, rules and policy of the government of AEC members for supporting or driving the AEC international market are also the main issues to be studied, including the study and adaption to the effects after the gathering of AEC such as concept of AEC on free flow of labour permission, which will affect local people's employment.

Silpakorn University International College (SUIC) has realised the importance of rapid changes in capital, finance, labour, personnel, knowledge, and information technology. Therefore, the Doctor of Philosophy programme in International Business is offered to both Thai and international students for serving these regional and global changes in order to equip students with knowledge in international business through ethical and moral research practice.
