Director : Dr. Sompid Kattiyapikul Silpakorn University International College Silpakorn University International College (SUIC) was officially opened in October 2003 as a part of Silpakorn University, one of the top five universities in Thailand, to create efficient international programs in a truly international environment for our students through exposure to foreign knowledge while keeping Thai culture in mind. We have continually expanded the academic collaboration with worldwide proficient partners in offering international bachelor and master degrees in our expertise fields emphasising on art and humanities

In the year 2003, SUIC was pleased to join with two of the world's most renowned hospitality institutions, Institut Vatel, and the University of Perpignan in conducting the distinguished double-degree international Hospitality Management programs, which not only bring cutting edge international education but also state of the art educational facilities to Thailand. This gives our students a real advantage in a highly competitive work environment and helps them acquire superior hospitality and managerial skills as well.

As Silpakorn University has accumulated a great deal of experience in art and design for over 60 years, it was a logical choice for SUIC to expand into the educational fields in relevant to the global market needs while simutaneously improving its standard in teaching. In the year 2004, we collaborated with the Birmingham Institute of Art and Design (BIAD) of the University of Central England. It is one of the foremost centres of art, design and media education in the United Kingdom since 1843.

With Silpakorn's experience in art and humanities perfectly blending with our partners' expertise, we have therefore ensured that our programs successfuly provide our students with the necessary tools to succeed in a dynamic industry and properly prepares them for exciting positions.
