| SUIC was created to offer high quality programs conducted in English with leading educational institutions from around the world. SUIC’s double degree philosophy has been instrumental in driving forwards a new kind of international program in Thailand and we have been delighted to develop this concept with our international partners. The Bachelor of Business Administration double-degree program in Hotel Management is in collaboration with one of the world’s most renowned hospitality institutions’, Vatel Group. This has brought cutting edge international education to Thailand and gives our students superior hospitality and managerial skills in a highly competitive industry. The success of the bachelor program and robust relationship with Vatel, led us to introducing a double degree MBA program in Hotel and Tourism Management as well. |

Secondly, Silpakorn University has been academically recognized as Thailand’s leading educational establishment in the field of art and design for over 60 years, and therefore SUIC provides an international program in an area that is relevant to the growing needs of the domestic and global markets. In the year 2004 SUIC collaborated with the Birmingham Institute of Art and Design (BIAD), which is part of Birmingham City University England (BCU) in providing a Bachelor of Fine Arts double-degree in Multimedia Design. Creating this partnership was an obvious choice as BCU has also been at the forefront of art and design education in the UK since 1843.
More recently in 2009 we introduced an MBA program in International Business and through our international network, developed a work study tour program as part of the students’ studies with the University of Technology Sydney. SUIC therefore specializes in cross cultural awareness as all programs include the opportunity to gain study or work experience in other countries as well as in Thailand. SUIC’s programs give students theoretical and practical knowledge, but also the right industry connections for employment upon graduation.
